In this one time beginners hip hop dance class, we will start off with a warm-up with stretching and cardio. We will then learn a fun, upbeat hip hop routine and work on a craft at the end of class! Feel free to dress up!

Class Experience

During this hip hop dance class we will start off with a warm-up and stretch our bodies including cardio and learn some hip-hop moves for about 7-10 minutes. We will then learn choreography to an upbeat song from Zombies. (25 -30 minutes) During class we will have a couple breaks and at the end of class we will make a Zombie Fan for about 5-7 minutes! Check out the supply list on what to bring to class! 

*The duration of the warm-up and choreography time may vary do to student participation....

Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. This song is upbeat and fun. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a routine by the end of the class!

I have been teaching for 19 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!

No homework is assigned but practice is encouraged!

Bring one of the attachments to class. If you are unable to print you can bring a blank piece of paper and items to decorate your Zombie fan. (stickers/crayons/markers etc.)

Encouragement and feedback will be given throughout the class.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. Student may need scissors or stapler for the craft. (Dance at your own risk.)
