In this fun-filled and interactive class, students will be led through a 10-minute warm-up and then taught original Jazz/Hip Hop choreography to the song "Flesh and Bone" from Disney's "Zombies 2" for the remainder of the session. Through the instruction of the choreography, dancers will learn basic tenets of Jazz and Hip Hop movements and choreography, including jazz walks, weight shifts, isolations, levels, and more. The choreography is appropriate for beginner and intermediate...
Dancers should have appropriate and comfortable dance attire (a t-shirt and yoga pants or leggings, for example) and shoes (jazz shoes or sneakers are appropriate for this choreography). Dancers should have an open space for dancing, and a water bottle.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please note that this class requires a large amount of physical activity. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that the child is capable of participating in the class safely; please consider consulting a physician before engaging in any new physical activity. Dancers will need a safe environment, including and open space in which to dance, proper dance footwear (see the supply list), and a water bottle. Parents are encouraged to supervise, and should be advised that injuries can occur when attempting any physical activity.
