Join in on this spooky investigation into the fungus that turns regular ants into zombies! In this one-time course, your student will look at an interesting parasitic relationship between fungus and ants and understand how these adaptations can create some really strange interactions! In this course, we will explore the fungus “amongus” to figure out exactly how these regular ants turn zombie-fied! We will look at the game “Bug Fables” where your learner will be introduced to the game...
This class is taught in English.
Due to the nature of the parasite, there will be some images showing what happens to the ants after they have become infected with the parasite. This will include vines growing out of the ant's head, which may be uncomfortable for some students.
