Description
Class Experience
This 9-week course will focus on all things film music! We will learn important terminology in regards to the film music world, explore the history of sound and music in movies, discuss sound effects, listen to the most famous film scores, learn more about famous film music composers, and even talk about the people who record music for movies! Learners will learn through in-class lecture, in-class listening, and in-class discussion. We will use online classroom to hold discussion and build a classroom environment. They will be provided with a summarizing handout before each class and additional resources for extra learning opportunities after class. No formal homework or assessment will be completed for this course. At the end of our class, learners will receive a certificate of completion.
I love all things film music! I have been teaching courses on different aspects of film music for more than 2 years and have enjoyed bringing these topics to Outschool. This course will provide a more complete look into film music than my other courses and I am excited to offer it!
