Zero the Hero and I are looking forward to creating a community of young learners who want to have fun learning basic Kindergarten math concepts and getting to know each other. Every 10 day of the calendar (aka: 10th, 20th, and 30th of the month or closest class date), we will have a special Zero the Hero Event/Activity. As a K-1 teacher for 25 years - this is a daily routine that my students loved and absolutely learned their basic skills effortlessly.
From time to time, there will be activities that we don't have time to complete - that can be optionally completed at home.
1 file available upon enrollmentEach child needs to have a dedicated folder for our class - to keep handouts in especially the Calendar. Basic materials - Crayons, pencil, glue, scissors, white board; folder/box/bin to keep Zero the Hero Some sort of same size counters - 100 - unifix cubes, legos (same size), buttons, etc... please keep in a ziplock A collection of various real coins - a least 10 dimes, 5 nickels, 1 quarter, 25 pennies Great but not required - a plastic analog clock;
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be some materials to have printed prior to certain sessions and some special supplies on for the 10th Days.
