30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
This course is a social club for students to meet new friends virtually and talk about video games together. I found that in teaching my other video game course (“Video Game Music”), students love to have a social space where they can just talk with each other about what they love. As the teacher, my role will be to facilitate the discussion and bringing new prompts and questions each week to encourage students to open up and share with each other. The goal will be for students to develop strong relationships with each other over the recurring class meetings each week.
Learning Goals
Students will socially interact with other students and discuss the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild video game. Students will answer prompts and questions from the teacher and participate in whole group discussion and sharing.
Other Details
Parental Guidance

External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
I have played Breath of the Wild a little more than I would like to admit (150+ hours), so I know all the ins-and-outs of the game to help facilitate student discussion! I have also been an avid gamer since the days of Super Nintendo and know firsthand how video games have the power to develop social relationships.
