Inspired by my beloved on-going class, this class will meet four times to learn about different women composers while coloring and listening to music!

In this month-long class inspired by my most popular ongoing class, learners will be exposed to music written by different female composers. The course schedule is as follows: Week 1: Hildegard von Bingen Week 2: Clara Schumann Week 3: Nadia Boulenger Week 4: Joan Tower They will learn about the composer's life and music through class lecture, listen to some of her popular compositions as a class, and participate in class discussion where we will talk about what we like and do not like about the pieces. Learners will be provided with a coloring page and additional activities to work on during class. In addition to learning about music, this class will help young learners develop important classroom skills, such as: attention span, active listening, and digital classroom etiquette. All materials will be available in the classroom prior to our class. Please print them and provide your learners will coloring tools so they can color their picture during class and share with their classmates afterwards!
