zCharacter Study, Creative Writing, Predictions & Trivia Using “Stranger Things”
We will discuss the various character arcs from Stranger Things & develop short story ideas using these characters. Finally, we will do some predictions for the upcoming season, and we will also have some fun with trivia from the show!

MEETING 1: -During our first meeting, we will introduce ourselves to each other, and have a brief icebreaker activity. -Next, we will discuss our favorite characters, and then answer some fun questions like: Which character would you want to be? Which character would be your best friend? Which character would be your mortal enemy? Who would be in your party, and which roles would they have? MEETING 2: -We will then discuss and break down a couple of the characters from the show, including...
-Students will develop coherent outlines for their writing projects, and improve their understanding of seven elements to writing a short story: theme, characters, setting, point of view, plot, conflict, and resolution. -Students will learn about the processes of the character development in stories.
Although not required, students may work on their ideas/outlines between classes.
-A full syllabus, and a couple of handouts/worksheets for printing before class will be provided -Students will need writing instruments and writing paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Stranger Things has a TV-14 rating, which means some of the content might not be suitable for children under 14 years old
