In this 2 x 50 min course we will look at what contingency planning, risk management is and how to write a risk assessment.

Class experience

Understand what risk management is and how to create a well rounded risk assessment for any event.
During the course of his career as an entrepreneur, performer and traveller, Jo has faced a variety of emergency situations from wilderness survival to first-hand experience of dealing with a fatal car accident which he had to deal with alone and ended up saving lives. He is a highly experienced risk assessor and first aider, with emergency training for fighting fires and advanced first aid for scuba diving.

"I am a trained in advanced first aid for any emergencies. As an extreme sports enthusiast (scuba diving, rock climbing, stilt walking, circus skilled performer who uses fire, sky diver, bungee jumper, etc.) I have always taken it seriously to know what the risks are and prepare for them by making safety and preparation a priority. This is why I have taken many types of first aid and emergency preparation courses depending on the activity I am doing that year. I have also taken and helped teach survival camps to know what to do when lost in the wilderness or in case of a world catastrophe. I am also professionaly trained to evaluate and create custom risk assessments for any event or situation. (I learned this skill working in the entertainment industry needing to evaluate risks for circus performers at different events and locations.)"

He has taught this class to ages 8-18 yrs old. This is a great introduction class to Risk Management.
Please note that this class will not teach medical training or medical services. This class is designed to help make a Risk Assessment for Public Events to prepare for the unexpected. Learning first aid will be mentioned in the plan but I do not teach first aid in class for example.
