Class Experience

Have you ever wanted to be an actor? Get more confident? This class teaches you the fundamentals of acting using games and improv – no line memorization needed! Each class contains one warmup and two performance games. Our material is a perfect introduction to acting, without the pressure of being on stage or in front of a large crowd. As an added bonus, our games often feature characters or settings from the bestselling book series, Wings of Fire!

In class, learners train their confidence, listening, imagination, and teamwork skills, along with fundamental acting abilities like improv and subtext. And, of course, we make sure to emphasize the most important lesson of all – having fun!

There is a ton of learner interaction in this class. This class fosters a safe and supportive community, where students will encourage each other and grow together, forming friendships with learners from around the world.

Wings of Fire fans can bond over their common interest as they act out scenes from the books. Students who have never read Wings of Fire will still be able to fully participate in all the games and activities. Just like with our “Draw Dragons Inspired by Wings of Fire and How to Train Your Dragon” class, about half of the students are familiar with the characters, but all students can learn and enjoy the material. By the way, here’s the drawing class as well: https://outschool.com/classes/draw-dragons-inspired-by-wings-of-fire-and-how-to-train-your-dragon-or-ongoing-art-Vk0zDWdL?sectionUid=b2d39e43-98ca-4e2f-a6b0-887f386aecd7&usid=ZsMmlyoT&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link

This class is learner led, which means that each week, class is tailored based on the interests and needs of the class. This is why there is not a weekly breakdown included. Every class will include one warmup and two performance games, but the specific warmups and games depend on the interests and goals of the students.
