A growth mindset is a powerful advantage in life. When we can learn how to fail without feeling like it is a reflection of our worth it opens a whole new world of opportunity! In this class, students will explore the concept of a growth mindset, what it means, and how to apply it to daily life. Each class will consist of a short presentation, class discussion, and a challenge to be completed outside of class time. ur control. Week 1 - What is a growth mindset, is it something I can create? The art of failure how we can make failure less threatening and change our thoughts to begin building a mindset that empowers us. Week 2 - Focus - does what I focus on matter and how can I shift my focus? Creating a positive outlook though understanding what is within our control. Week 3 - Mindset and goal setting establishing and evaluating success. This class is listed at 45min but can be shorter as it is based on learner numbers and participation.

Supply List
Handouts will be provided as needed. Some arts and crafts supplies may be needed but are to the discretion of the family. After the first session children are asked to create a visual representation of one thing they would like to learn this year. It is up to you and your child as to what that creative project might look like. For example, it could be a clay or plaster sculpture, a poster, or even a video.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
