Class Experience

Beginner Level
Welcome learners!

I understand that every learner that attends this class is different and may even have different expectations! Because of this, I have tried to make this class as versatile as possible.

This description is rather long, but please read all the way through it to make sure this class looks right for your learner. :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How this class is versatile:

If there are students that have created a channel and want to improve their channel with tips/ideas from this class, this class will be applicable for them. They are welcome to complete assignments for each lesson or work on improving whatever they are currently working on to make their channel better.

If there are students that are interested in creating their channel, personalizing their page, and practicing the recording and editing tips and suggestions that I share during these 4 lessons, while we are discussing them, this class will be applicable for them. If prepared, they will be able to watch each video and follow the instructions given in order to complete the next step that will lead them to the path of uploading their first video on YouTube by the time all 4 lessons are complete.

If there are students that do not have a channel yet, and perhaps are not ready for one yet, they are welcome to take all the info in and make notes that will help them mentally and physically prepare for a YouTube channel whenever they are ready. For assignments, these students are welcome to share there ideas and thoughts on what they might do in the future.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This self-paced course will consist of 4 separate lessons. The recommended time to complete each lesson is about 1 week so be prepared for about 4 weeks of YouTube related content.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your learner completes everything in these 4 lessons, they will be able to: personalize their channel, record a good quality video, edit their video, create a thumbnail for their video, upload their video with a good title, and create a channel trailer with the video they have worked on.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will be checking in weekly and I will be responding to every comment, post, or direct message. My response time is usually around 48 hours.

____________________________________________________________

I will be using a Windows PC for all these demonstrations. If your child has an apple product, they are still more than welcome to attend if they feel they can transfer the skills they learned to their apple device.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quick breakdown of programs that would be helpful to have for this class

1. Have a YouTube channel set up already (if not, not worries! I will share info on how to do so in the first class)

2. Create a free account to Canva https://www.canva.com/

3. Create a free account to Wondershare Filmora https://filmora.wondershare.net/ , Editing with the free account will cause there to be a watermark. If you wish to not have watermark, you will need to upgrade to an annual subscription. Best device would be on a Windows or Mac computer.

Thank you for your time and I hope to be able to interact with you in this self-paced course!
Learning Goals
