In this multi-day class, learners will gain knowledge on YouTube's safety options. Students will learn how to create engaging videos, how to brand themselves on Youtube, how to increase their views, and more. They will learn tips and tricks many successful YouTubers use. They will be able to ask questions regarding their individual channels and get help and suggestions regarding their channel, content, presentation, SEO, and more. Learners will be provided with tutorials the teacher created for them. We will view how to utilize video editing apps and learn how to enhance videos through editing. (Week 1) Class 1: Students will learn about creating effective thumbnails and banners. Students will learn what basics they need to ensure their videos and channels are being found. We will play a Youtube-based game. Students will receive an after-class resource in the classroom tab. Class 2: We will cover branding and analytics. Learners will complete a worksheet to clarify their goals and own Youtube branding ideas. We will learn how to better understand analytics. The class will conclude will a game related to Youtube. (Week 2) Class 3: During our third class, we will learn how to edit videos to improve their quality. We will learn about camera positioning, lighting, audio, and editing styles that are popular on Youtube. Class 4: For our final class, learners will review copyright, learn what places on their Youtube they should optimize to be more searchable. We will review all information covered and learners will participate in a light quiz. Learners will receive PDF slides and resources to refer back to as they continue their Youtube creator journeys. Please be sure to check the classroom tab during this camp for updates and more information. *We will NOT be creating channels/accounts in class.*

To create a FREE Canva account individuals must be 13 years of age or older. Please guide your child in creating the listed accounts for them to use before class begins.

I attended the Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD). After graduating from CHAD high school I enrolled at a sustainability-focused private liberal arts college. I decided to take up Communication as a major and minor in Writing and Documentary Studies.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a Minor in Writing and Documentary Studies, a TESOL certification, and an Interior Design + Home Styling Certification.
I am an enthusiastic, energetic, and patient teacher. I have educated students of all ages and love creating exciting classes. I put my all into every class and try to make hard topics easy to understand.
