Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn how the game is played by playing a game adventure. There are many rules in Dungeons and Dragons, but the learners will pick up the basics right away and be immersed in role-playing fun - the rest can come later.
I have been playing role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons since 1981, and have written and refereed countless adventures for all ages.
No supplies are needed for this class
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The adventure we will be playing includes creative role-playing (like acting), puzzle-solving and also simulated combat. Although combat is a part of the game, creativity is our focus. There will be no detailed descriptions of violence.
We will be playing the game on Roll20.net (which is free to join and play), however the learners will not need to log into that system, as I will be sharing my screen.
