This ongoing class is an opportunity for young writers to meet up and do collaborations or other writing exercises together. Since this is an ongoing class, the students may join any meeting at any time and do not need to participate weekly. The content of the “clubhouse” will be student-generated with teacher guidance. With the help of the breakout room function, we have the opportunity to divide each class into different groups with different interests. Every week there will be at least three options. -opportunities to connect and start or continue a writer collaboration. -hang out and discuss writing, books, favorite characters in books and movies, or for example, character development. -do a teacher-led writing exercise To make this a safe and productive environment for all the following rules have been established. The rules for the clubhouse are as follows 1. Respect your fellow members and their privacy 2. Use appropriate language and behavior 3. if you are in the breakout rooms, the two first rules are extra important 4. Be kind and helpful when you give feedback 5. Tell the teacher if anyone breaks the rules 6. Ask for help if needed 7. Be your regular awesomeness and have fun

Teacher expertise and credentials
In my creative writing classes, I encourage students to draw from their experiences and thoughts to create unique pieces and share my passion for writing. This passion has been recognized with four awards for a short story and three poems, which I hope will inspire your students.
I am an immigrant from Sweden with a master's degree in education from Lund/Malmö University.
I am dedicated to forming connections with my students and customizing my teaching to suit their age. I aim to challenge my students while ensuring they never feel like failures. Patience, humor, and kindness are paramount in my approach.
As a teacher, I foster critical thinking through various activities such as research and discussions. The most rewarding part of my job is igniting my students' joy of learning and nurturing their curiosity about the world.
I believe in incorporating play into my teaching whenever possible, as I believe that everyone, regardless of age, has a playful side.
I have previously taught social and political science, religion, and geography and have nearly 25 years of experience working with children of different ages.
My diverse interests include folklore, photography, nature, books, and history, particularly on overlooked historical figures. I hope to share these interests with your students, sparking their curiosity and broadening their horizons.
