Description

Class Experience

Learners will be able to identify, create, and discuss concepts of geography.
Mrs. Bombard is a certified elementary educator, with a Reading Endorsement, in Florida (formerly certified in Georgia and New York) with an M.Ed. in Reading Instruction. While pursuing her M.Ed., Mrs. Bombard also completed the programing required for a minor in English to Speakers of Other Languages.

During 10+ years of teaching in elementary schools in the three states, Mrs. Bombard’s focus has been on developing knowledge while also facilitating a love of learning. She has received awards for her instruction including Teacher of the Year, Innovative Educator of the Month, and Innovative Educator of the Year. Mrs. Bombard has spent the last 4 years homeschooling her sons for middle and high school, continuing her goal of facilitating innovative and engaging learning experiences.
As an ongoing class, there will not be any out-of-class assignments.
Learners will be provided with a PDF handout for each class. This will be posted within the Outschool classroom 24-hours prior to class.
There is no formal assessment within our class, however learners, as learners are engaging in the activities their understanding of the new vocabulary terms, will be assessed informally. This enables me, as the instructor, to differentiate the instruction to better help them understand a new term that is challenging to them or bring an additional level of challenge if a new term is more easily acquired. Families who need assessment for reporting purposes will find the PDF handout a useful tool to gain written records for assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
