Description

Class Experience

Students will be able to identify the habitat, diet, and creature powers of the animals learned weekly.
Students will participate in STEAM-based activities to enhance learning of the animals. 

NYS Science Standards for PreK-2nd grade have been incorporated for diverse learning ages and abilities:

Each week I will provide enrichment suggestions to further dive into information regarding that week's animal. There is no requirement to complete enrichment activities. 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner progress is directly assessed by completion of science or art projects posted to the wall, and interaction within a discussion post on the classroom wall 1x/week. 
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
No live meetings; Parental guidance will be needed in the event an activity requires scissors; also for set up of the activity and gathering supplies. Based off your child's ability, you may want to accompany them while viewing the class to check for understanding and to know the activity.
