Books should be pre-read by parents if you have any concerns about content. Reviews can also be found on Common Sense Media, Amazon, Goodreads, and Kirkus. The story revolves around a precocious third-grader, Clementine, who frequently gets into mischief with good intentions to solve problems. The book is recommended for ages 7-10 and is described as a story that portrays kind, loving parents who also get frustrated and are there for Clementine as she learns more about the world. It also highlights Clementine's independence to explore her community. The book contains instances where Clementine's curious nature may be misunderstood as questionable mischief. Additionally, there is a scene where Clementine spies on a janitor and lunch lady embracing. Overall, the book offers positive messages about family and independence, but be aware of the instances of mischief and the scene involving the janitor and lunch lady for appropriate guidance and discussion with their children.
