In this fun and interactive lab, students will learn to set a table. Students will engage their senses of touch, sight, and hearing through this lesson. Parent(s) can prepare a simple centerpiece. Students will place each table item on the table according to the template shown in class. Then we will set the table using two templates. My teaching style is child-centered, interactive, and engaging. If time allows, there will be show and tell.

The goals of the class are as follows:
1. Learn a new skill
2. Reinforce the concept of left and right
3. Count and sort
4. Develop cognitive, social, physical, communicative and sensory skills.

Supply List
Either play or real items as listed below: -Two plates (kid, lunch, or dinner size) -Two knives -Two table forks -Two table teaspoons -Twos water cups or glasses - Two napkins (paper or cloth) - One Quart of pint mason jar (optional) -1 small bouquet of flowers(dollar store or inexpensive)

Where as, table setting is a family tradition in our home. When I began to homeschool my children, I learned that the kitchen and the dining room were great laboratories for learning. It has been an educational adventure ever since.
