In this multi-day class, learners will listen to an abridged edition of "A Christmas Carol," perform a Reader's theater of the story, meet my cat, Mr. Fezziwig, view my miniature Dickens Village, & compare the story with a video version.

Intermediate Level
This class will consist of 6 sessions: **Session 1: Introduction, some vocabulary, and read aloud the first page of the original version. Compare it to the first part of the abridged version. Read and discuss the first half of Stave 1. We will begin a Google Document keeping track of characters, vocabulary and Scrooge's transformation from a greedy grouch to a benefactor. (Students only view and verbally contribute to the document - they will not need to use their own Google...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to compare and contrast a historical story with today's video versions of the story. We will also cover some interesting vocabulary, such as different words the author uses for ghost.
