In this ongoing book club, girls will be socializing and expanding their reading comprehension and summarizing skills! Each student shares their current read, creates a book wishlist, and plays engaging literary games.

Description
Class Experience
Students will summarize a book of their choice. Students will formulate opinions about other books. Students will improve their social skills and confidence through socializing.
I am a certified teacher and will finish my school counseling master's program in May of 2021. I have taught and counseled students in grades PreK-5th in the public school system.
Students will read their book of choice at their own pace.
Necessary supplies will be posted in the classroom one week before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be informally assessed by observation. Parents can expect bi-weekly written updates from the teacher.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Please be aware that books will likely be suited for girls 8-11. However, students have vastly different interests and reading abilities so they may differ from what is appropriate for your child.
