Description

Class Experience

Students will learn about nature and gardening in addition to new ways to record their learning through writing and drawing about what they observe or experience.
As an educator I have taught over 10 years of writing and interactive journaling in a variety of formats. This blended with my own avid gardening and homesteading makes me very excited to lead students through this class.
Students will record their own thoughts and create art through drawings or photographs that they take while exploring out in nature that they can then share with the class.
Students will need their own journal, pencil or pen, and any other tools that they prefer to use to record their observations like crayons, paint, colored pencils, or a camera.
Learner progress is assessed through their participation in class and their journal entries.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
