In this 6 session course, students will design and plan their own pop-up restaurant, specifically a street food cart, beginning with a business plan. They will work on basic financial planning, a marketing strategy, an operational plan, and a growth plan. The young entrepreneurs will make decisions about the menu and purchasing inventory and food, where and when to operate, and will learn to consider their target market in all decisions. This is a fast-paced class; students will need to spend anywhere from 20-60 mins after each class (about 1-2 hours per week) in order to fully participate in the simulation during the second half of the course.
A Planning Journal will be provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
