Description
Class Experience
This is a 4-week course designed specifically for the younger beginning piano student. We will continue following the adventures of Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear to learn keyboard basics in a fun and encouraging setting. We will be using the Music For Little Mozarts Music Lesson Book 3, and will expect to cover about the middle third of the book, although pacing of the class may be adjusted as necessary. Students will learn to play with correct technique and continue to learn how to read notes on the staff in C and Middle C Positions.
Daily practice is essential in learning to play an instrument. Young beginners should spend about 10-15 minutes a day practicing outside of class. New pieces will be assigned each week.
Students will need to have a piano or electronic keyboard. All students MUST have the lesson book for this course. "Music For Little Mozarts - Lesson Book 3" can be purchased from a music store, alfred.com, or amazon.com. It is available in print or digital form. Be sure to purchase the LESSON Book, not the workbook or recital book!
