We will be learning how to bake cookies. We will learn the basics of measuring, combining ingredients, and baking tips. This class will allow students to ask questions and learn the steps of putting together a cookie dough that is sure to make their family smile! This class will be fun and interactive. Your child will need all of his/her ingredients NOT measured out and we will practice measuring accurately and combining ingredients. We will show our new friends our mixture as we go. Your child does not have to have any prior knowledge. This is a beginner baking class. This will be a laid back learning experience where students can practice baking using the step-by-step instructions. ***If this class has low enrollment, your child may be transferred to a different section or you will be refunded. Of course, I will let you know if this needs to take place. Thank you for understanding!***
Learning Goals
Students will learn to measure ingredients using measuring cups and spoons.
Students will learn to mix ingredients by following a recipe.
Students will work on following written instructions and listen to verbal instructions.
Students will work collaboratively to produce a final product.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parents may want to assist younger students in this class. We will not be actually baking the cookies in the oven during this class but we will be using kitchen ingredients and tools including a hand mixer or standing mixer.
Supply List
You will be sent a recipe sheet when you enroll in the class. Please print this for use during the class. You will also need: flour butter brown sugar white sugar vanilla instant pudding eggs vanilla sprinkles The print out that is sent to you will explain what kitchen tools you will need.

Hello! My name is Precious Lung. I am a kindergarten teacher. I have taught grades pre-k, kindergarten, first, and second. I have been a teacher for 12 years. I have also worked with young children at a daycare. I am very experienced with the development of a child. I have a Master's degree in education with several reading endorsements.
I LOVE teaching reading and all the foundational skills that go into reading. I also teach ESL students online. On Outschool I teach many reading classes including read-alouds, beginning reading courses, phonics, letters, sounds, sight words, and circle time. I also have a few baking classes and art classes.
