Students will learn how to set and explore future goals through creative journaling, while developing essential writing skills, mindfulness techniques, and self-awareness. We’ll cover goal-setting, visualization, and self-expression, focusing on how journaling can help clarify ambitions, overcome challenges, and create actionable steps for the future. In our class, we kick off with a captivating visualization activity that invites students to vividly imagine their goals and dreams in detail, sparking their creativity and inspiration. Next, they transition into a guided journaling exercise, where they will learn to articulate their aspirations with clarity and purpose, laying a solid foundation for their journey ahead. After that, students can choose from four exciting creative options to express their future goals authentically. This flexibility allows each student to connect with their goals in a way that resonates personally with them. To wrap up each session, students will engage in a supportive sharing circle, where they can reflect on their goals and insights with their peers. I teach using a blend of social-emotional learning techniques, interactive discussions, and creative writing exercises. Visual aids and slides will support key concepts, while students will have time to reflect independently and share their ideas in a calm, supportive environment. My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on positive reinforcement and fostering a relaxed, creative atmosphere. I encourage open discussion and provide step-by-step guidance to ensure that each student can work at their own pace. Learners will interact through guided discussions, shared journaling reflections, and direct feedback during class. The format allows for group interaction as well as one-on-one support during creative activities, ensuring students have the opportunity to engage and grow.
