Learners will learn some of the history and methods used by the Guinness Book of Records company. They will also learn fun facts and be amazed at the variety of records and imaginations of people who engage in these activities.
I am an avid reader and adventurer. I have always been very interested in many types and variety of records, including mountain climbing, running, equestrian events, survival stories etc. (I have classes on survival as well as a class on the highest mountains in the world, and adventurers and explorers ). I am interested not just in achievements, but how people handle challenges along the way. Some records might seem trivial, but many require practice, imagination and a sense of humor.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
