This introductory art class uses STEM principles to teach the art of choosing a dream job, creating a signature, and finding time and space to create art by professional artist Bekalyn Craig.

Beginner Level
This intro to art class helps you learn about yourself as a artist. I teach the benefits of art, creating space to do art, an introduction to calligraphy, fonts, monograms, and signatures and using science to find your dream job. Pause the PowerPoint lesson video to complete the activities. This is a self-guided lecture with built-in art activities to help learn, process, and retain the material presented. The lecture is 15 minutes and it is recommneded that to student spend at least a total of 15 minutes completing the activities. I teach with concrete examples, humor, and lots of visuals! Students may submit their work to me for a professional review, if desired.

Learning Needs
This course is design to support visual and auditory leaners as well as those with ADHD by uses humor, visuals, teacher view, and audio create a multi-sensory experience focused on the learner.

Pre-Requisites
Should be able to write their own name.
Supply List
Lined paper and writing utensil. Plain white paper, at least two 8.5 x 11 for signature practice. Collect art supplies from around your home to try out in your favorite colors. If you have your favorite art supplies around your house in your favorite colors, there is no need to buy art supplies for this class.
