Description
Class Experience
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class is about the death penalty, so serious crimes and types of execution will be discussed. We mention the 5 types of execution still used in the US today and look at a map that shows which methods are used by different states in the US. The case the kids will decide is Roper v Simms which is about a juvenile who commits murder in the 1st degree and the students have to decide the constitutionality of executing a juvenile.
