Class Experience

The ability to think through choices and their consequences is an important skill for children to develop. Through the book, "What Should Danny Do?" by Ganit and Adir Levy, students will take turns making choices for the main character as he interacts with his little brother, mom, and others to see how the story ends. We will then go through the story several times making different choices each time to see how better or worse choices affect the ending. Then we will have a discussion about some of our behavior and personal choices, other choices we could've made, and the consequences that followed. To end the class, we will role-play. The students will come up with a common scenario they deal with and consider the choices and consequences.

Learning Goals

At the end of this course, students will have a deeper understanding of the power of their choices and the importance of personal responsibility and accountability.
