You Can't Be Autistic You Make Eye Contact - Still More Myths About Autism 13-18

I am autistic myself and have spent the last 10 years of my life working with autistic children as well as children with others.  disabilities in various capacities. I have been a pre-school teacher, a teacher's aid working one on one and in small groups with children who need extra help, a tutor, an in-home caregiver for a child with severe disabilities, and a community support worker for autistic tweens and teens. I also have an associate's degree in special education. 

In January 2020 I began leading social groups for autistic children on Outschool and now have many different age groups and options ranging from ages 3 to 18. I also teach several classes about autism and sensory issues all of which have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents and students alike. I have spent a lot of time learning about autism and how autistic tend to view the issues that will be discussed in this class.
