Please note: Before class starts please print out the game board(s) that are available to print on the classroom page. Gather supplies needed, a die from a game board, pencil, paper, black marker, crayons or other coloring supplies. Thank you for your preparation. So much of art is tied up with confidence. So many kids don't think they can draw just because they haven't tried or because they are expecting master pieces the first time. This 35 min class will simply show them some easy ways to design Mythical Dinosaurs which will be fun to create. Once they get confident by making these creatures they will have a tool to jump off into creating their own ideas. At the end of this class they will have created 2-3 different dinosaurs, which may include an environment also. No back ground knowledge is required and no homework, just enjoy the class and have fun!
Learning Goals
Students will flex their imaginations with the endless possibilities of this game board to make mythical dinosaurs.

NOTE: Please print out the game board and drawing templates before class so your student will be ready to start. All you will need to enjoy this class is drawing tools such as crayons or other color source like pencils or markers. The game board and drawing templates that you print out are on the bottom of this page as attachments. 1 playing die (such as you would find in a board game, just borrow one for this class. We will be using it to roll and pick a number) .

They want to create something but they just don't know where to start. This class will help them "jump start" their creativity. I believe this class is unique in that it gets them started, gives them some confidence then lets them Take Off!
