In this one-time class, students ages 5-9 years old, will meet once per week to learn basic art skills and create a simple and cute drawing.

Let's learn to draw! In this one-time students ages 5-9 years old will learn the basics of drawing. Each week students will be carefully instructed step-by-step on how to create a simple drawing. Students will also be able to chat with the teacher and classmates, as well as ask questions and share their creations! Beginning of Class: We will greet each other, play an icebreaker game and briefly talk about our drawing topic of the week. (See scheduled below) Middle of the Class: we will follow directions to create a new drawing. Students are encouraged to follow along with the teacher, but also feel free to add their own creativity and ideas to the drawing. We will also begin to color our drawings with crayons, colored pencils, or markers. Depending on the difficulty level of the drawing, students may need to finish coloring after class if additional time is needed.l End of Class: We will take turns sharing our drawings with the class and telling our favorite parts of the drawing. The teacher will also provide feedback for each student and give positive praise.
Learning Goals
Students will learn basic drawing skills, as well as some coloring skills. Students will also practice how to be good listeners, follow directions, be patient, and have fun interacting with the teacher and other students.
