Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how their unique talents are important to their family and community. They should leave class with better self-awareness and self-esteem! They should also leave with a better respect for the people around them.
I have 6 years of experience teaching learning and emotional education. In this setting, motivating students and increasing self-esteem is very important.
Students are encouraged to share their quilt square with their family and friends. They may even ask you to make one too! Recommended Book: The Crayon Box that Talked by Shane DeRolf (to extend learning before or after class)
A piece of white paper cut into a 6" x 6" square (15 cm x 15 cm) A piece of construction paper cut into a 8" by 8" square (20 cm x 20 cm) Coloring tools (crayons, markers, colored pencils) Alternatively, you can print out a handout to replace the cut paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
