In this one time class, students will have the chance to gain basic technical knowledge on yoga and what it means to be mindful while moving! Come and join me while we study popular yoga moves and flexibility stretches. Within this class, students will be given the opportunity to connect with classmates as well as me, Mrs Sarah! Students will learn the basics of yoga and mindfulness while improving their flexibility, stamina and balance!
After becoming a certified yoga instructor in 2019, I began incorporating yoga and mindfulness classes into my weekly student schedule. Primarily a dance teacher, yoga helps even me find a healthy balance between working out and staying calm. This class allows students to find a space where they can learn important technique while stretching their muscles alongside learning exercises that allow their minds and bodies to remain quieter and calmer than a general dance class!
After class, each parent will receive a short assessment of how their enrolled student did! I always keep everything positive, don't worry if your child is extra excited during my class time. I have seen all sorts of craziness within my classes and all that I hope for is that the kids are having a great time!
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
For class, students should have a reasonably open space where they can safely take part without having objects in their way. I also encourage water to be nearby to ensure students are well hydrated. We will be stretching and warming up correctly together before we begin to make sure the student's muscles are ready to dance!
