We all know that hanging with our pets brings us a sense of calm. Why not combine that feeling of calm with the additional benefit of yoga? In fact, your dog might benefit from some of these movements too! Bringing them into your yoga practice could benefit you both. Our class will start with an introduction period. This is not a "normal" yoga class. We want to be in the room together, so turn on your camera and introduce yourself and your pet to the group! Get ready to have some fun together. Then, we will practice a few poses with our pets. After that, we will let our pet be nearby us while we go through some puppy-themed stretches and yoga poses. At the end, we will lie in Savasana pose with our pet nearby and focus on our breathing. I like to call this part "Cuddle-vasana" because it's a great chance to cuddle up and relax with our pets. We'll close the class with a closing circle and a moment of gratitude.

Parental Guidance
Whenever students are performing yoga as part of a fitness routine, please be advised of any potential hazards (including, but not limited to, needing an open workout space, slip proof socks or bare feet, a mat, and proper clothing ). Injuries can occur if not properly supervised, such as slips or bumps.
In this case, the additional component of having a dog involved, may require extra space and supervision if necessary.
Supply List
The student only needs a yoga mat, water, and a positive attitude. Be sure to have plenty of space for you and your dog. If you do not have a pet, you can still join with a stuffed animal!
