In this fun and energetic class taught by the Founder of Hop Along Yogi Kids Yoga, kids will bend, twist, and stretch their bodies to form basic shapes, keeping them away from the hungry yoga monster! We'll start with a song to help kids practice their shapes and get their bodies stretched out and ready to exercise. Then, we'll do a variety of shape yoga poses, also reinforcing colors as we go. Next, we'll practice patterns and sequencing to create a yoga flow that matches our shapes focusing on educational concepts as well as active movement. We'll finish in relaxation pose, resting our body and calming our mind.
Learning Goals
Students will improve balance, flexibility, and coordination as well as build listening skills through this class. Educational concepts such as numbers, shapes, and patterns will be highlighted through the exercises.

Parental Guidance
By joining this class, you declare that you/your child is physically fit and ready to participate in yoga classes and understand that yoga, as with any physical activity, may involve some risk of injury. If at any time you/your child feels discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is your responsibility to consult with your child's physician with respect to any past or present injury, illness, health problem or any other condition or medication that may affect your child's participation.
You will need an open workout space, slip proof socks or bare feet, a mat or carpet, and active-wear clothing for the class.
