This beginner class is focused on breathing and learned basic yoga poses. This quiet class is focused around breathing and finding inner peace balance. Student will follow the teacher in a basic sub salutation series to warm up. The teacher will then guide students through beginning yoga poses and encourages deep breathing throughout posing holds. With each pose students can work their flexibility and continue being in control of their breathing patterns. Questions are encouraged and the teacher will provide the calming music and guidance through the poses and basic yoga flow. Bare feet and water are required for this class. Open space is required due to the nature of yoga poses. Parental guidance is highly recommended due to potential for injury. A yoga mat is not required but is recommended. This teacher has been practicing yoga at a variety of intensity levels for over 10 years to help with an anxiety disorder.
Learning Goals
Students will learn deep breathing techniques while holding various poses.
Students will increase self body awareness while engaging in basic yoga flow.

Parental guidance is recommended due to potential for injury due to the physical nature of the class. An open area is recommended for completing this class.

Hello! I’m Miss Emily and I primarily teach dance and fitness classes! I love working out using my beachbody app and being outdoors! I was a competitive dance since the age of 8 and have been a studio dancer since the age of 3. I love listening to various types of music and feel my body move to the rhythm. I attend Keuka College where I studied Occupational Therapy and I currently practice my degree in New York State. While in college I coached the collegiate odance team and I love performing! Having fun is what my classes are all about! I love to help others reach their full potential by moving their bodies and self reflecting on their abilities. I am a natural redhead and recently had a baby boy!
