Yoga for Tweens
Class experience
In this class, we will practice fun yoga poses and techniques that are healthy for the body, mind, and spirit. Each day, we will move through yogic breathing, warm up sun salutations, yoga poses, a yoga game/activity, cool down poses, an age-appropriate meditation, and relaxation, ensuring everyone stays safe, is comfortable, and enjoys the practice. Daily themes may include but are not limited to the following: strength, flexibility, focus, creativity, mindfulness, nutrition, and kindness...
- A yoga mat or similar soft, nonslip flooring on which to practice. - Suitable room to move arms and legs freely. - Comfortable clothing with bare feet or socks with grips.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Yoga is a wonderfully beneficial activity for the mind and body. Following class, students may choose to continue practicing the poses and techniques on their own; in that case, please be sure to provide proper adult supervision.
