Class experience
This class is designed for students AGES 13 - 18 with no prior yoga experience needed. This will be a Hatha focused style of Yoga. We'll do a quick round of introductions and set the class expectations and safety protocols. Students will not be expected to interact with each other, they will simply listen and follow the guidance and instruction of Pam. There will be a couple minutes at the end to answer any questions. All questions will be sent in chat privately, to allow anonymity we will...
Learners will learn how to connect with their bodies and how to appreciate and feel gratitude for all the amazing things our bodies can do. We will celebrate that each of us is unique and nobody has the same body and how amazing that uniqueness is!
I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification in May of 2016 from Brahmanda Yoga. My training is in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa, Nidra, Meditation, Asana, Pranayama and Yoga Ethics. I have been teaching yoga in a studio setting, online and privately since June of 2016. I have clients from all walks of life, from Canada, USA, UK, Australia and Netherlands!
Water bottle, blanket/yoga mat, firm pillow.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I always encourage parental support and engagement with kids afterwards to see how they feel and to offer any support they may need. Sometimes students want to revel in the afterglow of a yoga class once it is completed. Parents should ensure that their learners have a safe space, away from any hazards (toys, furniture, pets, siblings, etc.), and is recommended that an adult be present to supervise to prevent injuries (as with any other physical activity). A water bottle would be great to have nearby as well. Appropriate exercise attire must be worn as well (e.g., no dresses/skirts/etc., unless shorts or pants are worn underneath for modesty and privacy).
