Yoga is a remarkable tool for stretching, strengthening, and relaxing both the body and the mind. This class is structured in a traditional yoga class format, with breathwork, a warm-up, strengthening and stretching poses, and a calming cool down in an encouraging, supportive environment. A regular yoga practice can facilitate stress reduction, promote strength and flexibility, and reenforce the mind-body connection.
Students are welcome to bring a yoga mat or beach towel, but it’s not required.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please ensure a clear, clutter free space for easy movement. Students should have slip-proof socks or bare feet. They may also want water to maintain hydration. As with any physical activity, there is a risk for injury. Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and take breaks when needed.
