In this ongoing class, learners will participate in yoga programming designed specifically for young soccer players. Class Breakdown: - Introductions - Warm Up - Class poses aimed to strengthen and stretch muscle groups most used in soccer, with an explanation of how the poses will help them with endurance, mobility, flexibility and injury prevention. - Breath and visualization work designed to help athletes to calm anxiety, increase focus and help with sleep. - Closing circle with some take-away exercises they can do in between classes to keep working on strength, flexibility and focus.
Learning Goals
Students will learn:
- Specific yoga poses that help soccer players strengthen and stretch the muscle groups most accessed during play.
- Breathing exercises and techniques to help players access greater calm and focus.
- Balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, mobility, strength, positive mindset, ways to lessen anxiety and ways to focus.
- Social interaction.

Parental Guidance
Please be sure that learner is in a distraction free area with enough space to stretch out. They should have a yoga mat or towel close by if possible as well as water to hydrate.
