Hi there! In this ongoing, all-level class we will practice various yoga poses and flows to build strength and relaxation. Certain weeks may focus on strengthening and lengthening specific parts of the body, others will focus on the breath to body connection. Modifications will be given for all skill levels! Students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and practice what's best for them! This is a judgment free space. Throughout the sessions we will learn breathing and mindfulness techniques to help calm our bodies and minds. This class is designed for fitness and for kids to learn tools to help regulate their emotions on and off the mat! I will always be available even if only for one student! - Practice will begin with brief introductions and time for questions and suggestions. I will always try to tailor the class to fit the student's needs. - Warm up - Flow - Cool down / Meditation Yoga is an incredible tool for all ages. It helps us to quiet our minds and practice being present in the moment. As someone who has been practicing for many years now I wish I had, had it when I was younger. Any student is welcome in my class and just shoot me a message if you have questions or concerns. Meet you on the mat! :)

Parental Guidance
Parental advisory*
As with any physical activity there is always risk of injury. Make sure your child is in comfortable, form fitting clothes, and barefoot for our yoga exercises. (Socks can cause sliding and we use our toes for grip in yoga) Have water nearby for when we break.
It’s advised to have at least a foot of space around your mat for certain moves to ensure we don’t accidentally hit anything as we flow.
Although we won’t be doing any advanced poses or fast paced movements it’s still always good to supervise your child in any physical activities they may be doing.
The most important thing is that they listen to their bodies! Every body is different meaning every pose in yoga looks slightly different on different people. If something does not feel right for them they need to adjust and not try to push through with it. :)
Supply List
Comfortable clothes you can move in Yoga mat Water bottle 2 Blocks (optional) Blanket (optional) **Note - While a mat can help with grip and provide cushion yoga can truly be practiced without a mat on a carpeted or hard surface. Blocks are sometimes used to assist in alignment for postures. They are a great tool but not necessary. I have seen people use pillows or large books for the same purpose.
