This class is designed for kids who are interested in improving their muscle strength, flexibility, and athletic performance. Yoga has many mental and physical benefits that can enhance an athlete’s performance. It can also help relieve stress, encourage relaxation, and support healthy sleep patterns. These benefits are useful for athletes who are prone to overexertion. Kids will learn specific postures and breathing techniques for almost every sport. Hamstring stretches, lunges and warrior poses will be taught, to name a few. From increasing flexibility to building mental resilience necessary for competition, yoga offers a wealth of benefits for athletes. It's best to do yoga for a short time each day rather than only one or two long sessions each week. If you play strenuous sports, you will benefit from this slow-paced, gentle but strengthening type of yoga. Yoga helps to relieve tension and improve your range of motion. It’s ideal for people who have pain and tightness. Yin yoga also helps to relieve stress, which is common among athletes. I am a personal trainer and group fitness teacher.
Yoga, running, and wellness are my passion!
I am a marathon runner and whole foods advocate..
Running is a lifestyle for me and I train for several events a year.
Much of my experience comes from having owned and operated a daycare for 18 years where I taught and nurtured children from ages 2 to 12 while I raised my two boys. In my daycare, yoga , meditation, and healthy eating were taught as a daily routine.
I have trained all over the world.
Peru, Iceland, Boston, Mass, and Los Angeles.
I've studied yoga, meditation ,Ayurvada medicine as a means to help those with anxiety and depression .

Many of my studies have been at Omega Institute New York of holistic studies where I received hundreds of hours in training.
I have over 50 hours in stress and trauma training.
I also have a certification In MBSR
Mindfulness-based stress reduction course by Jon Kabbit-Zinn out of UMASS medical.
I completed Kids yoga teacher training and yoga and mindfulness for kids teacher training.
I teach at many local schools to all ages children.
Yoga is a way of life, a way to express your feelings and be ok with them.
The body-mind, spirit connection is a missing part of most of our daily lives. Mindfulness and body awareness are key to my practice.
Taking care and fueling the mind is as important as taking care of the body.
My mission is to teach self-love and self-care in a fun safe environment. I want to instill tools that will last a lifetime,
Teaching yoga to me is first and foremost about drawing forth that which is already in the student.
