Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn yoga poses to help with mental and emotional health, as well as ways to properly express emotions in safe ways.
I am apart of the lgbtqia+ community and I struggle with anxiety and depression. I have found that movement and writing helps with boosting my mental and emotional health. I've been doing yoga consistently for about 2 two years and I've been writing all my life. Those two things have positively been changing my life. I write all sorts of things from poetry, to short stories, and just being able to get my thoughts across paper (google docs/notes app) really helps to clear my brain and keep me centered.
If student feels inclined to, they can do yoga throughout the week and continue to journal to help with releasing and getting their energy flowing.

Anything you decide to do, I'm proud of you :)
Supply List: Yoga Mat (if you don't have a yoga mat you can use a rug/carpet) Water Comfortable clothing (nothing too loose fitting want to make sure everyone's bodies are covered and protected) Pencil (for journaling) A Journal/Notebook/Etc. ( You can write about anything to help with releasing energy. Intentions for the day or week, things you're grateful for, goals you want to reach, ideas, etc.)
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please provide an open workout space free of any items that could potentially trip or cause the student to slip. Slip-proof socks or bare feet, a water bottle, and comfortable clothing are suggested for this class.
