Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone! I offer a variety of classes in dance for all levels and ages.
I have been dancing since I was 2.5 years old and have trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical/contemporary. I have had the opportunity to perform in roles such as the Sugarplum Fairy and Dew Drop in the Nutcracker, Wendy and Smee in Peter Pan, and an Evil Stepsister in Cinderella.
I have been teaching ballet/pointe since 2018 and have had the opportunity to choreograph for several performances such as the Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan. Prior to this I worked as a student teacher from 2012-2016 and a substitute dance teacher from 2016-2018. From 2018-2020 I acted as the Artistic Director and Executive Director for my college Ballet Company where I choreographed ballet/contemporary pieces, taught classes and scheduled/organized performances.
Dance is an excellent way to express yourself and learning new skills is one of the most exciting parts! In my classes I provide my students with combinations that challenge them, help them to improve, and also help them to build confidence and enjoy the process of learning to dance. My classes will focus on technique, learning new skills, learning choreography, and understanding dance terminology.
