US Grade 9 - 12
This individual tutoring session is designed to support learners ages 14-18 with improving their understanding and mastery of Biology. This personalized tutoring session is 45 minutes. Back-to-back sessions can be scheduled if desired. Here's a snapshot of how things will flow: 1) The learner decides what they need help with. Whether it's homework support, quiz preparation, test preparation, or content review-- I'm here to support them. Common topics include: • Cell biology • Biochemistry • Evolution • Immunology • Human anatomy • Developmental biology • Ecology 2) *THIS STEP IS REQUIRED!* Send me any relevant material at least 24 hours in advance. The information should be uploaded and sent to me via message (from the "Conversations" tab of the parent's Outschool dashboard or from the "Learners" tab of the learner's Outschool dashboard). Here's what you should send (when available and applicable): - Title and edition of the textbook being used - The lecture notes that the teacher provided - The assignment that the learner is working on - The specific problems and/or topics that the learner would like to discuss If you do not have access to any of the information listed above, please provide as much of the information as possible. The more I know about the learner's needs and what they're working on, the more efficient we can be with our time, and the better the overall learning experience will be. If this information is not received within 24 hours of tutoring, I will cancel the session. 3) We work together at the learner's pace to tackle what they need help with. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and supportive. I will instruct the learner as needed and guide them through any issues, while checking and reinforcing their understanding along the way. My goal is that they leave feeling more knowledgeable, confident, and empowered!
