Yes! Relaxing Collage Arts and Crafts Class: Explore Your Personality is a class that explores the personalities and feelings of young people as they experience and learn new things each week in their outside lives. The pieces they create will be based on their individual preferences, character traits and interests. We will start by talking about a key thought, something to inspire their creativity and explore their feelings. Then they will have time to put those thoughts onto paper in their own creative way. We will start with introductions, a daily exploration thought and feelings check in, and leave some time open for creativity. Students will then share their art pieces towards the end of class and be encouraged to talk about what they represent. I will facilitate their creative process by using zoom, a presentation to structure the class, and by talking them through some key points and questions as they put their art pieces together. I'll check in to make sure everyone is on track. My teaching style is relaxed, welcoming, patient and kind. I encourage some quiet time as well as some talk time. Learners can engage with me on chat, by speaking on the video or by writing to me. Occasional short video clips may be shown to inspire creative ideas. There may be quiet music in the background sometimes to encourage and inspire creativity. No prior experience or knowledge is required to enjoy this class.
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is for students to explore their own personalities and feelings as they experience and learn new things in their own lives each week. This offers a time for them to process things in a safe space. The pieces they create will be based on their evolving individual preferences, character traits and interests.
