Ready to fall in love with painting? No painting experience is necessary.......Really! Just paint - a - long with Ms. Muse and by the end of class time, you will have created a masterpiece! To save a little time for the fun painting, we will all enter class with our paint already placed out, but will discuss the set up of the rest of our painting station together. Students will follow along step by step, as I paint details right in front of them. I will demonstrate how the paint colors work together and we'll layer these to create beautiful paintings with depth. They will learn painting terminology and some easy to remember techniques that they can use in their own artwork. If they choose, students can always share their masterpiece at the end of the class. (This is never required) It's really exciting to see how proud they are of their work. Watch as they improve with each painting they create! See you soon!

* RECORDINGS are not shared.
Dark / medium gray background completed and DRIED prior to class. ( Warm air is helpful)
(Use black and white in UP and Down strokes ) to get a Rain effect * Please see photo.
Acrylic paint:
White
Your choice of umbrella color.
TINY dot of :
red, blue, dark pink, orange , green , purple, black *. We can put this out later so it will not dry.
Protected table surface
Paint smock and long hair should be tied back.
11x 14 canvas OR water color paper/ thick mixed media paper.
*Please note, the structure/ timing of the class is geared toward SPECIFICALLY 11x14 or smaller .
This manageable size allows for ample time to work on each step, and for all levels of painters to enjoy success.
3 SHORT HANDLED brushes :
(flexible, SYNTHETIC bristles)
3/4 “ or 1 " Flat wash brush
Medium sized ROUND brush ( size 8 )
Small sized /Detail ROUND brush with a nice point. ( size 3 or 4)
2 Bowls of water
EXTRA paper towels AND old cloth to wipe off brush .
Paper plate /cardboard for mixing
Please position ALL supplies on same side of table next to the hand you paint with .
Depending on easel / table :
Computer /device should be faced directly ahead to gauge student progress.

Cameras will be asked to be on during class for attendance purposes , and must be verified to remain off.
As you know, Outschool classes are specifically for children.
Per Outschool's policy, each painter must be registered separately.
