In this engaging ongoing class we will practice our addition and subtraction skills using Minecraft to help us practice these skills. We will work on addition and subtraction numbers 1-20. We will use Minecraft counters, color by number by solving problems and then word problems involving some of the characters. There will also be chances to talk about discussing the game when they solve problems, and we get to crack a mystery egg. We will then get to discuss that character. In this class we will changing things up weekly to keep it engaging and fun so that they don’t realize they are practicing their math skills. Learning Goals
• The student will practice their listening skills throughout the lesson.
• The student will practice socials skills such as taking turns, listening to peers and being a good friend.
• The student will practice addition skills with numbers 1-20
• The student will practice subtraction skills with numbers 1-20
• The student will work on solving word problems using numbers 1-20
• The student will work on their communication skills when participating in class.
